Ozie Gertrude Lambert Ackerman, 80, of Andrews, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Ackerman was born May 6, 1921, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of Ervin M. Lambert Sr. and Minnie Johnson Lambert.
She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School. She was a finishing supervisor of seconds department of Oneita Industry. She was a member of Earles Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as music director for many years.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Lloyd Horace Ackerman Sr. of Andrews; two sons, the Rev. Lloyd H. Ackerman Jr. of West Columbia and Ronald David Ackerman Sr. of Andrews; three daughters, Shirley Lambert and Lois Davis of Andrews, and Mary Anne Richardson of Georgetown; a brother, the Rev. S. Cecil Lambert of Timmonsville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Ronald D. Ackerman Jr. and Tammy Ackerman; seven brothers, Ervin M. Lambert Jr., Bill Lambert, Willie Lambert, Roland Lambert, Mannie Lee Lambert, Clyde Lambert and Jule Lambert; and four sisters, Sudie Powell, Elma L. Powell, Eula Cannon and Vernell Cannon.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at 4 p.m. in Earles Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, under the direction of McKenzie Funeral Home, will follow in the church cemetery.
