SEYMOUR INDIANA TRIBUNE OBITUARY – 07/10/1998
Ethel Collins Adams, 82, Clearspring, died at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 1998, at her home. Mrs. Adams was a member of Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Church. She retired from H.O. Canfield, Seymour, and also had worked at the Shoe Factory in Medora. Born February 7, 1916, at Kings Creek, KY, she was a daughter of Milburn & Viola Maggard Collins. On December 23, 1936, at Whitesburg, KY, she married Bramble Adams, and he survives. Other survivors include a son, John W. Adams, North Vernon; two daughters, Mary Lois Loudin, Seymour, and Sharon Sturgill, Clearspring; a brother, Homer Collins, Tompkinsville, KY; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren. The Rev. Arnold Barnes and the Rev. Steve Day will conduct services at 2 p.m. Sunday at Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Church, with burial in Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown; from 10 a.m. until noon Sunday at the funeral home; and from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the church. Memorials may be given to Jackson County Hospice.

Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Church, with the Revs. Arnold Bates and Steve Day officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at Zabel Funeral Home. Additional calling hours are from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Jackson County.
