Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 19, at Hungerpiller Family Cemetery near Elloree, with the Rev. Burt Williams and the Rev. C. Clark McCrary officiating. Burial will be in Hungerpiller Family Cemetery.
Mr. Griffin was born in Metter, Ga., a son of the late Emmett and Jessie Griffin. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elloree.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Zeigler Griffin. They were married for 64 years. She died September 1, 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn W. Griffin and wife, Stella of Steele, Mo., and Bruce B. Griffin and wife, Linda of Elloree; one daughter, Debra A. Steffen and husband, Brian of Elloree; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, and two sisters.
Fogle-Hungerpiller Funeral Home of Elloree is in charge of arrangements.
