Martin F Manthe died in Leeds Sept 8. He was born in Germany Nov 12 1829 and has been a resident of Columbia county for a half century. His wife and eleven children survive him. The funeral services were held Sept 11 from Zion's Lutheran church of which he was one of the organizers and a devout member. In the death of Mr. Manthe Leeds has lost a worthy citizen and one who will be sadly missed.
