Mrs Emma DeVore Miller, 71, died at 5:25 pm Thursday in the home of her daughter, Mrs Matthew eubanks of New Carlisle, Route 2. She had been seriously ill since last August.
Mrs Miller lived in Springfield for 30 years until going to the home of her daughter last November. She was born February 11, 1876, near Bainbridge, OH, the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Alexander. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union here.
Surviving are the husband, George W Miller of Springfield; one daughter Mrs Eubanks; one son James A DeVore of Ashland, OH; four brothers, Fred and Wilbur Alexander of Springfield, IL, Rufus Alexander of Hillsboro, and Samuel Alexander of Bainbridge, OH; one sister Mrs Clara Morris of Milledgeville, OH; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Jackson Lytle Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 am Monday. Burial will be at Clifton, OH.
