Joseph Aloysius "Alo" Thompson, 78, died Saturday at his home. He was a native of Marion County and a retired employee of General Electric Co. Survivors: his wife, the former Mary Alice Bowman; sons Louis, Allen, Bobby, Dennis and David Thompson; daughters Phyllis Hodapp, Mary Hall and Cathy Ballard; two brothers, Edward Thompson and the Rev. James W. Thompson; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Monday, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Raywick. Burial: church cemetery. Visitation: Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, 1-9 p.m. Sunday.
