Lydia E. Petty
Lydia Elizabeth Petty, 83 of Victoria, died Monday Jan 24, 1994.
She was born July 14, 1910, in Lafayette, Ind, to eh late Schyler C. and Norah Pyle Marks. She was a graduate of Purdue University, having been a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She married Joe W Petty of Victoria 67 years ago in Evanston Ill. She was a merchandising manager for Marshall Fields . Mrs. Petty was past president of Bronte Literary Club, longtime trustee of Friends of the Public Library and was active in Victoria Civic Theater. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonists and St. Francis Episcopal Church.
Survivors: husband; daughters; Julia Beets of Bellaire and Lydia Worthley of Kansas City, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
Services 2 pm today, St Francis Episcopal Church, the Rev. David Reed officiating.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery. McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home. Victoria 573-4341
