ELWOOD A. NICKERSON
Elwood A. Nickerson, 75, died Feb. 23 at a Bangor hospital.
He was born May 13, 1896, at Chelsea, the son of Charles and Evelyn (Gray) Nickerson.
Nickerson lived most of his life in Corinna and until his retirement as employed as a maintenance man at Eastland Woolen Mill.
Survivors include his widow Mrs Inez (Platt) Nickerson; three sons Wesley of Tampa, Fla., James of Medway, Mass., and Earl of Brooks; five daughters, Mrs. Flinton (Cleona) DeCrow, Holliston, Mass., Mrs. George (Louise) Siele, Lee, Mass., Mrs. Ralph (Marilyn) Hogan, Marlboro, Mass., Mrs. Everett (Virginia) Fillmore, Dexter, and Mrs. Charles (Marie) Gallison of Corinna; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Emery of Waterville, Mrs. Lula Whary and Mrs. Donald (Marion) Harris of Norridgewock; 32 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at Crosby-Neal Funeral Home, Newport. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Newport.
