REST IN PEACE..

Ruth Nunn Gay, 81, of Hartselle died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Morgan County to Henry G. Nunn and Maude Fitzgerald Nunn.
Mrs. Gay was retired from the Madison County school system as a teacher. She taught at West Morgan High School, Bob Jones High School, Grace Baptist School and the Lurleen B. Wallace Center. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for 39 years.
Funeral will be Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Decatur with Pastor Eddie Scheler officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to service.
Burial will follow in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Edgar M. Gay; two daughters, Katherine Gay Earnest of Decatur and Brenda Gail Hatcher and her husband, Allan, of Damascus, Md.; brother, Samuel Nunn of Hartselle; sister, LaVerne Stacks of Hartselle; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church building fund.
