Cyrus K. York Sr., of West Athens was born in St. Albans 68 years ago, son of Reuben and Betsey Tuttle York. He was a farmer most of his life but because of diminshing strength moved into the West Athens settlement and conducted a general store with the assistance of his youngest child, Cyrus K. York Jr. Mr York married Fannie Salley who survives, though in poor health. He leaves four children: Ralph Eugene York, Athens; Mrs. Betsey E Tuttle wife of Ross Tuttle, Athens; Mrs A. Isabelle Goodrich of Brighton; and Cyrus K. York Jr., a member of his household.He leaves also a twin sister, Mrs Ida Butler of Athens, Melvin Corson and Irving York were grandchildren residing in the York home.
