Mrs. Naomi Carol Charles, 59 of 1185 Gardner Springs Road, Adairsville, formerly of the Halls Station Community, died Thrusday night at her residence.
She was born Sept.19,1949, in Cartersville daughter of the late Jack & Loise (Roebuck) Jefferson and lived most of her life in Cartersville, White & Hall Station. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel untied Methodist Chuch, was retired as a winder at Mohawk in Sugar Valley, for a number of years was a server at Shoney's on Ga. Highway 20, Cartersville, and was a graduate of Cass High School. She had a love and appreciation for birds.
Mrs. Charles was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lee Charles, on Oct.21,1971, and by a brother, Nathan Jefferson in 1995.
Surviving is a son, "Eddy" Jack Edward Charles (wife- Denise) of Adairsville; daughters, Christy Charles Mull of Blairsville and Becky Mull of Adairsville; eight grandchildren; a special aunt, Lilian Jefferson of Cartersville and four sisters-in-law, Eunice King, Vickie Lowery, Suedy Harris & Wanda Fowler.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 am Monday in Mt. Carmel UMC, Halls Station, with the pastor, Rev. Leon Smith officiating. Internment is in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2850 Shorter Ave., Rome, at 706-234-9622, was in charge of the arrangements.
