The 6 SAVAGE children, buried in Wamic Cemetery, marked with red rock & covered with crushed red gravel, are children of Albert Levitt Savage & Rebecca Ann Tucker Savage. They died of diptheria 27 Nov 1879, and were buried by their older brother William Erastus Savage. The story was told over and over how as a 19 year old, he buried 6 siblings in one day, with his parents and younger sister too sick to attend the funeral.
