Andrew Lee Harvey, known as "Billy" departed this life at St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond, Virginia after a long illness.
Billy was born in Owenton, Virginia to the late Ryland and Annie Randolph Harvey. At an early age he joined First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Newtown, Virginia where he attended until his health began to fail.
He attended public school in King and Queen County. At age eighteen he joined the United States Army where he served a portion of his duty in Japan as a medic. He took great pride in his profession as a floor installer for Costen Floors of Richmond, VA where he retired in 1989. He was a skillful baseball player and had great passion for the game as well as a great hunter. Billy loved to spend time with his family and friends while sitting on his front porch. He was a fun loving person who joked a lot especially with James "Buck" Newbill.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his devoted wife of 57 years: Naomi E. Meade Harvey; a son: Larry Harvey, Sr.; a grandson: Larry, Jr; three great grandchildren: TyQuan, Tydasia, and Larry, III; two sisters: Rosa Newbill of St. Stephens Church, VA; Annie Thompson of Richmond, VA; three brothers: Howard, Charlie, and John Harvey of St. Stephens Church, VA.
