Mr. Houston M. Sands, 80, of Lynnville, died Thursday, March 12, 1987, at Maury County Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 14, at Bennett May Chapel with Bobby Sands officiating. Burial was in Lynnwood Cemetery.
A native of Giles County, Mr. Sands was the son of the late Robert Lee and Willie Evans Sands and was married to the late Martha Lucille Sands. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a retired farmer and carpenter.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. W. S. Wilburn of Lynnville, Mrs. I. H. Landers of Columbia; one son, Mac Sands of Lynnville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Mary Sands and Mrs. Dave Bonds, both of Lynnville.
