Born in Tel Aviv, Palestine, Magdalene Katz Wynns was an adopted daughter by Lydia Christensen and Derek Price. She was one of nine orphans raised by Derek and Lydia. Prior to the Second World War, she was raised by Lydia in the Palestinian town of Ramallah. Following the war, her adopted Mother married British Soldier Derek Prince. They moved to the city of Jerusalem. At the time of the United Nations Partition of Palestine, the family was caught on the border between East and West Jerusalem. In the middle of the night, the family had to evacuate Jerusalem and moved to London England where her father became a Pastor. In 1952 in England she met and married Irving George Wyns. They later followed her parents to The United States and settled in Florida. She would have six children: four boys and two daughters.

She moved to Florida from Canada in 1972. Mrs. Wyns was a member of the Calvary Fellowship.
