OBITUARY:
Larry Dean Oestmann, son of Edwin and Clara Stutheit Oestmann was born January 18, 1944 at Auburn, Ne. He was the yungest of ine children.
He was baptized February 13, 1944 and condirmed September 14, 1958 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church south of Johnson, Nebraska By Rev. William Fruehling.
Larry grew up on a farm south of Johnson, and received his elementary education through sixth grade at Center rural school. He then attended Johnson Public School and graduated from Johnson High School in 1962.
November 5, 1967 he was united in marriage to Kay Williamson at the United Methodist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska. To this union three daughters were born.
After their marriage Larry Dean and Kay lived on a farm south of Johnson for three years. In addition to farming. Larry workked for Nemaha County District 3 road crew. In 1974, Larry Dean and his family moved to Johnson and in 1975 he began working for Clark Grain Company in Johnson.
On February 13, 1972, on the anniversary of his baptism., Larry jlined the United Methodist Church in Johnson and was an active member of that church. He was a member of the Johnson Chamber ofCommerce and a member of the Johnson Volunteer Fire Department. Larry enjoyed all sports; He coached boys baseball and girls softball. He enjoyed his family and friends and was proud of his daughters and son-in-law, Larry was known for his delightful sense of humor.
While on vacation in Colorado Springs, CO. Larry passed away July 23, 1998 at Penrose Community Hospital in Colorado Springs having reached the age of 54 years, six months and five days. He was preceded in death by his parents, a stll-born daughter; sister-in-law, Mrs. Roy (Edith) Oestmann and father-in-law, Kenneth Williamson.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife Kay Oestmann of Johnson; two daughters, Jane Beethe and her husband Mark of Exeter, Ne. and Susan Oestmann of Johnson , eight sisters and brothers, Eileen Saathoff and her husband Harold of Marysville, KS. Lester Oestmann and his wife Ellen of Johnson, Ne. Roy Oestmann of Lincoln, Ne. Adolf Oestmann and his wife Connie of Tecumseh, Harlan Oestmann and his wife Betty of Talmage, Ne. Lois Otyhmer and her husband Leslie of Tecumseh, Rosae Lee Crow and her husband Bill of Marysville, KS. and Ronald Lee Oestmann and his wife Beverly of Shenandoah, Iowa; mother-in-law Margaret Williamson of Johnson; brother-in-law Bruce Williamson and his wife Sarah of Longmont, CO.; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Pallberars were nephews;
Dennis Oestmnn, Clayton Saathoff, Paul Oestmnn, Mark Oestmann, Ralph Oestmann, Scott Oestmann, Jeff Oestmann, Lavon Othmer, and Ray Clark.
Organist was Kay Hicks and vocalist was Richard Shelton.
He was buried July 23, 1998 age 54. Services were held at the Casey-Witzenburg Chapel at Auburn, Ne. Tuesday July 28, 1998 at 10:30 a.m.
