Nichols - Mrs. Evelyn Mae Elder, 75, died at 11:05 p.m. June 6 at her home in Nichols after a lingering illness.
The daughter of CLIFFORD and BESSIE O'HARROW, she was born July 18, 1884, at Mason City.
She married Fred Elder of Nichols, March 22, 1930.
A member of the Methodist church, she belonged to WSCS.
Survivors include her husband, a step-son Robert of Nichols;
step-daughter, Frances Billick of West Liberty;
two brothers, George O'Harrow of Mason City
and Arthur O'Harrow of Portland, Ore.; four sisters,
ETHEL Petersen of Portland, GERTRUDE Bell of Mason City,
Mrs. ALTA Janik of Grand Rapids, Mich., and MYRTE Boese of Laytonville, Cal.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (dst) Friday June 9, at the Nichols Methodist church. Rev. Horace Ireland of Burlington will officiate, assisted by Rev. Nancy Nichols of Nichols. Burial will be at the Nichols cemetery.
Friday the body still be taken to the Nichols Methodist church to rest in state until time for services.
