Services are set for 1 p.m. Monday, May 11, at First Baptist Church in Franklin. Burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Franklin. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 10 at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, Texas.
He was born on December 30, 1943 in Tahleqah, Oklahoma to Isom Peril and Florence Cowles Raley. He married Frances Lorene Cotten in 1985. Mr. Raley worked in the oil field industry and had been a resident of New Baden for the past 28 years; previously lived in Bryan, Texas. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Jeff Laughlin.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Raley of New Baden; his children and their spouses, Sharon and Rex Vaughn of Salina, Kan., Emmily and Marcus Hood of Cushing, Okla., Virginia and Melvin Schulze of La Grange, Wendy and Brett Wiesjahn of Houston, Teddy and Laura Beck of Franklin, Patricia and Morris Cooper of Halletsville; his siblings and their spouses, Bud and Jackie Cooper, Eddy and Joyce Raley, Virginia and Georgie Jackson and Delphia Mullins all of Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
