Thank you to Danny Hoskins who gave me the obituary of Hattie's brother William Parks. Until then, I didn't know Hattie's last name.

According to the 1900 Federal Census, Hattie's father Albert (Aug 1874) was living in Civil District 5, Claiborne County, Tennessee with his wife named Catherine (Oct 1873) with children Hattie J. (June 1893), Lizzie (Oct 1895), Robt (July 1898) and a Ellen Fugate (March 1883) . Ellen was listed as sister and I do believe she was Catherines sister. Albert was a farmer and all were born in Tennessee. They were married for 8 years and all three of these children were theirs.

Hattie lived in Colmar. Younger sister Fannie, spoke well of her oldest sister. Fannie said Hattie had beautiful orchards that bloomed and were a beautiful sight. Hattie also loved to cook and often cooked for the coal miners in the area. She canned quite a lot and had a room full of her canning. Fannie recalls getting in that room to get pickles from the big barrels of brine.
Fannie lived off and on with Hattie as a young girl, as did a few of her sisters. Her father would drop them off at their older sisters, and she never complained about it.
Hattie's husband worked the coal mines in West Virginia.
Fannie and her sisters would also get into the brown sugar at night and sister Hattie would laugh at the girls since none of them would admit to having got into the sugar.

My mother Helen, Hattie's niece remembers Hattie was a small, thin woman who loved to cook. Hattie's husband Edgar was a short, small boned man. She remembers Edgar walking down the tracks to go to the Coal Mines "company store" and would bring back his items in a sack he carried over his back.
