RE: Mary Jane Meadows
The reason my original data had 2 different birth dates is because US 1880 Census lists her as 8 years old & estimated the birth as 1872. The 1870 Census of Flat Top, Jumping Branch District, WV also lists this year, whereas the Headstone picture both you & I took in person states 1868, & death as 1931. I found her death date of 18 July 1939, contrary to other records. I may have a death certificate, which I will look for & get back to you.
There are 2 separate headstones of Mary Jane Meadows (my Great Grandmother) & her husband "Sandy" Samuel Lacy Harris buried in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Beaver, Raleigh, WV.
Mary Jane Meadows husbands:
1. John David Akers 1870-1916 md 17 Apr 1890 in Hinton, Summers, WV.
2. Samuel "Sandy" Lacy Harris 2 Jul 1870-7 Oct 1942 md 25 Apr 1894 Ellison, Summers, WV.
3. COMMON LAW: John Moye 1868-
Lilly was her mother's maiden name:
Susan Ann "Susannah" Lilly B: 1848 , Mercer, VA
Her Father: William Moses Meador B: 7 Aug 1845 VA
