Dr. Henry Allen Higley, one of Brooklyn's most prominent physicians, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 1902 Cortelyou Road, 15 minutes after he had been stricken with a heart attack. He was 66 years old. He had been going about his business all day, apparently in good health. With him when he died was his daughter, Miss Charlotte Higley, and Dr. Eugene Dalton.

Dr. Higley's work in the field of high blood pressure and diabetes, to which he devoted his time since 1920, gained him a reputation throughout the medical world. With Dr. Cyrus W. Field of Manhattan, he was in 1923 the discoverer of revolutionary research on high blood pressure.

Prior to that, he had been interested in pathology, in addition to maintaining a general practice.

Dr. Higley was born in Brooklyn and lived here all his life. He was the son of the late Henry A. and Sarah Nye Higley. His wife was the former Harriet Welter who died last summer.

He was educated at Polytechnic Institute, Sheffield Scientific School of Yale University and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He received his medical degree at Columbia about 45 years ago. He was a member of the Kings County Medical Society. He also belonged to Chaminade borough musical society.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the Fairchild Chapel, 86 Lefferts Place. The services, at 2 p.m., will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. William E. Dudley, pastor of Flatbush Congregational Church where Dr. Higley was a member for more than 25 years and formerly deacon.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

In addition to Miss Higley, the survivors are Mrs. Alfred C. Duncan, a daughter; Warren H. of Glen Ridge, N.J., a son, and four grandchildren.
