Services for Richard "Dick" Lynn Todd, 55, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, conducted by Dr. Bob Kelley. Entombment with Military Rites will be held at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 3 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joshua B. Todd, Bill Todd, Steve Kennette, Chris Carter, Clinton Tuggle, Luther Marchant, III, H.S. Todd, III and Roy Haulbrook. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation, 1350 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 1200, New York, NY 10019, or to Grace Baptist Church, 416 Denham Ave., West Columbia, SC 29169. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Todd died Friday, August 13, 2004. Born in Miami, Fla., he was a son of Mary Lynn Todd and the late Hamilton Smith Todd. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was an Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Todd was a graduate of Miami Dade Jr. College, attended Clemson University and was a graduate of Charleston Southern University. He was formerly employed by IBM, Compaq/HP, and Intel Corp. Mr. Todd helped write DOS and BIOS and he was a computer expert in software and programming. Mr. Todd had been a member of the Crescent Youth Orchestra and the Greenville Symphony. He was a member at Coldstream and Charwood Country Clubs. He was an avid golfer and loved drag racing. Mr. Todd was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and son.

Surviving are his mother, of Haiti; wife, Jennifer Ruth Jones Todd, of Lexington; son, Joshua Blair Todd (Sara), of Lexington; brother, H.S. Todd, Jr. (Jane), of Jacksonville, Fla.; half-brothers, David Todd, of Miami Springs, Fla., and William Todd (Theresa) of Jacksonville, Fla.; and grandson, Gabriel Steele Todd, of Lexington.
