CURTIS A. ABEL Of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 1989. He was born in *Salina, Kansas November 30, 1902. Mr. Abel was a long time resident of Pasadena, Calif, and Riverside, CT., prior to his move to Delray Beach in 1967. Mr. Abel graduated from Dartmouth College in 1925 and Harvard Business School in 1927. He retired as Vice President of Young & Rubicam Advertising Agency in 1967. Survivors include his wife Marian Felch Abel, of Delray Beach and Greensboro, Vt; daughter Barbara Abel Murphy; son-in-law George Murphy; 4 grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren, of Glen Ellyn, 111. A memorial service will be held Friday December 1, 1989, 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Palms in Delray Beach, with Dr. E. Wallace Mast officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to Hospice of the Palm Beaches.

[*Added Note: Curtis A. Abel went to Dartmouth where one classmate was Theodor Suess Geisel (Dr. Suess). Near the end of the Dr. Suess book "I Can Read with my Eyes Closed" the drawing for "...places where you are going..." includes a marker labeled "Salina Kansas Birthplace of Curtis A. Abel 2376 miles."
