Mr. N. C. Gibson, age 86, died Saturday in the local hospital after a brief illness. Born in Taylor County, he had lived in Madison County most of his life. He was engaged in farming and was a deacon in Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. N. C. Gibson, Madison; three sons, Emory and Julian Gibson, Madison; and Harvey Gibson of Sunnyvale, CA; one sister, Mrs. Laura Grimsley, Cherry Lake; 10 grandchildren and six great -grandchildren. Services were held Monday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with internment in the church cemetery.
