Dahlia Yates Briggs, 79, of Richmond, died June 30, 2009.
Surviving are her husband, Perry Lee Briggs, Sr.; daughter, Diane B. Bacon (Chris); two sons, Perry Lee Jr. and Robert T. Y., Sr. (Priscilla) Briggs; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; cousins, devoted Phyllis A. Taylor; other relatives and friends.
She was a retired teacher for the Richmond Public Schools.
Remains rested at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where the family received friends Sunday, July 5, 2009, from 5pm to 6pm. Funeral services were held 12 noon Monday, July 6, 2009, at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 4247 Creighton Road. Rev. Lance Watson, officiated. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
