Charles "Charlie" Gilbert, age 67, of Stockbridge, GA died Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Mr. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Linda LaBranche Gilbert, Stockbridge, GA; daughters, Staci (Jimmy) Higginbotham, Jonesboro, GA, Paige (Stephen) Spivey, Ashburn, VA and Debbie (Paul) Bachmann, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Tori, Juli and Greyson Higginbotham; Audrey, Brody and Collin Bachmann; Ainsley and Avery Spivey.
He was born in Stockbridge, GA to the late Mattie Eunice Lamb Gilbert and John R. Gilbert, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Louie Gilbert; survived by brother, John Gilbert, Jr., Stockbridge, GA; sister, Louise Miller, Woodbury, GA; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gilbert was a member of Stockbridge First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church building, music or youth funds.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Steve Murell officiating.
