Oskaloosa--Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church here for George W. Pottorf, 86, Route 1, Oskaloosa, who died Saturday night at his home about two miles east of here. He had been ill several months.

He was born Feb. 4, 1886, near McLouth and spent most of his life in the Oskaloosa community. He had been a farmer and operated a threshing business many years before he retired.

He was married to Ethel Edwards Jan. 24, 1917. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Roland Pottorf, 2239 N. Tyler, Topeka, and Merle Pottorf, Oskaloosa; two daughters, Mrs. Irma Poos, Williamstown, and Mrs. Lucille Pettit, Basehor; a brother, Fred Pottorf, Custer, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Carr, Ottumwa, Iowa, and Mrs. Ruth Fleming, Hedrick, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Oskaloosa. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Hampton Funeral Home at Oskaloosa.
