Mrs. Dorothy Pottorf

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the United Methodist Church at Oskaloosa for Mrs. Dorothy Pottorf, 65, Oskaloosa, who died Tuesday in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted Aug. 2 and underwent surgery Aug. 27.

She was born June 27, 1908, at Oskaloosa where she spent most of her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the auxiliary of the American Legion, both at Oskaloosa. She was a member and past matron of Oskaloosa Chapter No. 62, Order of Eastern Star.

She was married to Frank Pottorf Feb. 23, 1924, at Lawrence. He died March 24, 1971.

Survivors include two sons, Harold F. Pottorf and Marlin A. Pottorf; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Pottorf, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Frank G. Edwards, Valley Falls, and Shirley Edwards, Oskaloosa; five grandchildren and a great grandson.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Oskaloosa. Mrs. Pottorf will lie in state after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Hampton Funeral Home at Oskaloosa. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church at Oskaloosa.
