They lived in Arkansas until 1885 where they raised a family of 6 children.

About this time, the family decided to move to Texas. The journey was made with only 5 children, Mary Emoline, George Madison, Lafayette Monroe, Arthur Dudley and Lida Bell. Their son John P., had passed away when he was about 6 years old.

Atwell and Cottonwood Texas would be the birth place for Thomas Henry, Jewel Perry, Cora Beatrice and John Milton.

11 Jul 1870 US Federal Census of Whiteville Township, Jefferson County, Arkansas Lists her name as Mary Anne, not known if she went by Mary Anne or Anne...
