The Examiner (Lancaster, PA), 10 Aug 1898.
"Mrs. Theresa Abel, wife of Franklin Abel, of West Willow, was found dead in bed this morning. She had been in ill health for the past six months, a sufferer from dropsy and heart disease. During the early portion of Friday night her husband noticed that she was restless, but became more quiet as the night wore on. At an early hour he arose to attend to some farm work and left her, as he supposed, sleeping calmly. When he returned for breakfast some time later and attempted to awaken her he was surprised to find that she was dead. Besides her husband nine children survive, as follows: Edward, Annie, Michael, Frank, Landis, Palmer, Mabel, Abram and Fanny, all of whom reside in this county. Deceased was a member of the Old Mennonite church for many years and was beloved and esteemed by all who knew her."
NOTE: DOB is figured from the age at time of death.
