WILLIAM FOSTER VOSE
---William F. Vose, son of Frank and Joanne Vose, was born near Gifford, Missouri October 24, 1908 and died at his home in La Plata, Missouri on November 25, 1947. He had been afflicted with a heart ailment for several years but his patient and pleasant disposition was present to the last.
---He was married to Edith B. Stockham of Novelty, Missouri on June 26, 1929. To them was born one son, Larry Duane, who is in the 8th grade of school this year.
---Besides his wife and son, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Earnest J. Miller of La Plata and Mrs. John C. Woodruff of Canon City, Colorado; one niece, Mrs. Howard Hatfield of Wyaconda; relatives and friends also survive. His mother preceded him in death in 1935 and his father in 1945.
---He was a member of the La Plata Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #237.
---He was in business in La Plata for ten years. At the time of his death he was employed in the offices of Green's Garage of La Plata.
---Funeral services were held at the La Plata Baptist Church Friday afternoon at 2:00, conducted by Rev. Claude Thompson of Ashland, Missouri, a former pastor here. Masonic rites were conducted following services.
---Pallbearers were from the Masonic Lodge and flower girls were from the Atalpal Club.
