I. HARRIS ELLINGWOOD
WEST PARIS - I. Harris Ellingwood, 97, died Thursday evening at the Chapel Valley Nursing Home where he had been a patient since October, 1960.
Born at Dummer, N.H., July 6, 1867, he was the son of Asa and Florilla Dunham Ellingwood. He moved to West Paris as a young man and married Ethel Townsend, April 17, 1892. She died March 15, 1956. He was a prominent farmer in the Forbes District of West Paris for many years. Following his retirement in 1942, he moved to West Paris Village. He was a past master of West Paris Grange and was recently presented a 75-year membership certificate, the fifth member to receive this in the State of Maine. He was also a member of Oxford Pomona Grange and the State Grange.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Spiller, Bridgton; three sons, Maurice, Auburn; Rupert, Ellis, both of West Paris; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

DIED - At West Paris, July 23, 1964, I. Harris Ellingwood, aged 97. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the I.W. Andrews & Son Funeral Home, South Woodstock, Mr. Joseph Perham officiating. Interment Wayside Cemetery, West Paris. Visiting hours Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening.
