Zelma Margaret Hoyt Geil was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hoyt in Andrew, Iowa on December 15, 1913 and passed away at Mercy Hospital in Mason City last Thursday morning October 9, from pneumonia and complications. She had reached the age of 44 years, 10 months and 25 days.
Mrs. Geil received her education in the public schools at Andrews. On April 20, 1935, she was united in marriage to Helger P. Geil at Spencer. The young couple made their home at Bellevue, where he was employed. Several years later they moved to Estherville and in 1952 they came to Greene where Mr. Geil was employed by the Farmers Co-op Creamery.
Survivors include her husband, one son William, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hoyt and a sister Mrs. Thelma Geil of Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by a sister, who passed away last April.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. L. J. Deines officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Hamilton's Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
