RICEVILLE, IOWA-- Christopher Bodensteiner, 82, of rural Riceville, died Sunday, August 3, (1997), at his home.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Riceville, with the Rev. John Moser and the Rev. Peter Bodensteiner oficiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Riceville.

The Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville, is in charge of arrangements.

Christopher Bodensteiner was born May 7, 1915, in Ossian.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Bodensteiner, Riceville; four sons, Chris S. Bodensteiner of Loveland, Colorado, Thomas Bodensteiner, Clear Lake, Paul Bodensteiner and James Bodensteiner, both of Riceville; four daughters, Mary Laskowski, Midland, Texas, Margaret Gaia, Memphis, Tenn., Barbara Hanlon, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ann Blickenderfer, Charles City; 13 grandchildren; six brothers, Leonard of Decorah, Marcellus of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Hugo of Clermont, Leo of Iowa Falls, the Rev. Peter Bodensteiner, Lawler, and Cletus of Long Beach Calif.; and four sisters, Agnes Winter, Earlville, Evelyn Hawkins, Ossian, Lucille Fanning, Timonium, Maryland, and Olivia Everitt, Fayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
