Ida Mae Leveridge, 82, a mother of nine children
Ida Mae Leveridge, 82, of Commiskey died at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
A private graveside service will be held at Storey Cemetery in Albany, Ky. Arrangements are by Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Leveridge was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, flowers, gardening and birds.
Born March 17, 1925, in Albany, Ky., she was the daughter of Willie Wash and Hattie Benjamin Cheatham Riddle. She married James Bruce Leveridge on March 29, 1942, in Albany. He died May 14, 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Sam Leveridge of North Vernon and Tim Leveridge of Burkesville, Ky.; six daughters, Charlotte Short and Leta Green of Commiskey, Susan Harmon and Brenda Hughes of North Vernon, Patricia Short of Paris, and Linda Krantz of Cottontown, Tenn.; a brother, James H. Riddle of Albany; two sisters, Detty Butler of Summittville and Dotty Johnson of Louisville, Ky.; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Daryl James Leveridge Feb. 3, 2001; four brothers, George, Clyde, Ray and Daniel Riddle; and two sisters, Hazel Day and Nina Anderson.
