Ralph William Brennan was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Wilburton, Okla., to Katherine and John Brennan.
He graduated from Wilburton High School in 1946, and joined the U.S. Army Air Corps that same year. Ralph served in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years, retiring as a senior master sergeant. He served in Italy, Germany, the Far East and Near East, as well as air bases in New York, North Carolina, Florida and Nevada.
Upon retirement, he furthered his education, obtaining his bachelor and master degrees. He then worked for the U.S. Defense Department for 16 years in Maryland, Illinois and Texas. Ralph retired and moved to Henderson.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, he went to his final resting place June 3, 2009. He will be greatly missed.
Ralph is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Dorothy; son, Daniel; daughters, Joy Myers, Bonnie Clark and Katherine Van Morris; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his family in Oklahoma, nieces, Andrea Ryan and Linda "Sue" Whitlock; and nephew, David Patterson; and many other relatives and friends there that have meant a lot to him.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. A reception will follow at 232 Lynbrook St., in Henderson.
