Martin Joseph "Marty" Zingali, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009, in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1927, in Rutland, Vt.

Marty was a retired pipefitter. He had lived in Las Vegas for 18 years and previously resided in Garden Grove, Calif., and New Bedford, Mass.

Marty was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II in the "Seabees." He was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Marty is survived by his wife, of 43 years, Linda Zingali; sons, Marty Zingali and Eric Martin Zingali; daughter, Cathie Stabler; grandsons, Michael Thomas, Joshua Canfield and Anthony Zingali; sister, Pauline Driggers; and brothers, Frank and Joseph Zingali.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Veronica Zingali; sisters, Carmen Loveridge, Concetta Charette and Mary Chase; and brother, Robert Zingali.

Funeral service will be at 9:20 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., in Boulder City. Boulder City Family Mortuary handled arrangements.
