Maggie Miller Polk father was Matthew Simpson Miller, a brother to Leroy Miller of San Augustine county TX.
Henry Miller and wife Mary Simpson Smith of Madison County AL are the parents to Matthew Simpson and Leroy Miller.
Matthew came to Texas in 1834. Matthew Simpson Miller married Nancy Parker on Dec 18, 1838 in San Augustine county, TX.

Mathew S. Miller received a land grant(Liberty County) in the Spanish Province of Texas or subsequently in the Mexican State of Coahuila by commissioner Zavala.
