He married Mary S. Webster.

Lorenzo Dow Allen died Wednesday forenoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Allard, Bangor road, at the age of 84 years. Three daughters, Mrs. Charles Allard, with whom he had lived, Mrs. George Morgan of Randolph, Mrs. E. F. Brooks of Lincoln, and two sons, Fred F. Allen of this city, and George E. Allen of Texas, survive, besides two sisters, Mrs. N. M. Warren of this city, Mrs. Hannah Cushman of Canton, and three brothers, Isaac Allen, Brockton, Mass., Ephraim W. Allen, Livermore Falls, and Osborn Allen of California. the funeral will be held at the home of his daughter at 2 P.M. Friday.
Funeral services for the late Lorenzo D. Allen were held at the home on the East River road at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the presence of relatives and friends, Rev. H. E. Dunnack officiating. Selections were rendered by a trio composed of Mrs. Donovan, Mrs. Gilchrist and Mr. Forest. The remains were placed in the tomb at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
