She was the wife of JOSEPH HENRY ATKINS, daughter of HARVEY JACKSON and LOUVNIA BURNS STAGGS, both buried at Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Campobello - Mrs. MATTIE STAGGS ATKINS, 79, of the Motlow Creek Section of Campobello Route 2 died at her home at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday after two years of declining health. She was born in this section, daughter of the late JACKSON and LOUVINA BURNS STAGGS, She was the wife of the late JOSEPH ATKINS. Surviving are six daughters; Mrs. RALPH McLEDON of Timmonsville, Mrs. W. D. MANN of Lowdensville, Mrs. BUCK MAYNOR of Gaffney, Mrs. H. H. HIGH, Misses ORNA and ALMA ATKINS, all of Campobello Route 2; two sons, HARVEY and FRED ATKINS of Campobello Route 2. Petty Funeral Home of Landrum is in charge of the arrangements.

H. ATKINS. Imformant was listed as Miss ALMA ATKINS of Campobello, SC. Undertaker was listed as Tolly W. Petty Funeral Home of Landrum, SC. Doctor was listed as S. J. MORROW of Inman, SC. Interment was in the Motlow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Oct. 29, 1953.
