John Edgar Sizemore, 61, of Jesup, Ga., formerly of Bloomington, Il. went to be with Jesus at 6:45 a.m. Sunday (May 31, 2009) at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
He was born in Rogersville, Tennessee to John and Geneva Sizemore. He married Keven Kummer. She survives.
He is also survived by a son, Eric (Becky) Sizemore, Ludowici, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Ann (Paul) Cline, Bloomington, and LaDon (Carl) Deerwester, Heyworth; a nephew who was named for him, John (Dottie) Powell, Bloomington; two special cousins, Ida Mae Lee, Rogersville, Tn. and Bob Davis, Bloomington and four brothers-in-law, Bill and Tom Kummer and families; Charles Jeakins; and Sammy Bartlett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sue Riddle.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
