Spartanburg Herald, May 24, 1940, page 9. Campobello, May 23 - The funeral of THOMAS CALLAWAY BRADLEY, 73, farmer of Campobello, Route 2, who died today at a Spartanburg hospital after having been in declining health two years, will be conducted at the Holly Springs Baptist Church Friday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. BRADLEY, a native of North Carolina had resided in Spartanburg County 29 years. He was the son of the late WILSON and SARAH HARRIS BRADLEY of North Carolina. He was a member of the Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Mrs. EMMA HORTON BRADLEY; one daughter, LELA THOMPSON of Campobello Route 2; six sons, WILLIAM THOMAS "TOM" and FRANK CALVIN BRADLEY of Campobello, Route 2, MEMORY WELLS BRADLEY of Chesnee, Route 2, OSCAR GRADY BRADLEY of Asheville, NC, ROY MANZEL BRADLEY of Rutherfordton, NC and ALVIN MACK BRADLEY of Gastonia, NC; two brothers, PINKNEY BRADLEY of Chesnee Route 2 and HENRY BRADLEY of Forest City, NC; two sisters, Mrs. JULIA DAVIS of Rutherfordton, Route 2 and Mrs. HATTIE EPLEE of UREE, NC; 29 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Rev. LAWSON EPLEE of Uree, NC and the Rev. C. E. PRUETT will officiate at the funeral. The following grandsons will be pallbearers: THOMAS, HENRY, MARVIN, HAROLD, LEONARD, and F. C. BRADLEY. The body is at the home of WILLIAM THOMAS BRADLEY, near Holly Springs Baptist Church.
