She was born Dec. 12, 1933 in Stanly County. She was the daughter of the late Crawford Lee and Willie Lee (Davis) Mauldin.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Love Alonzo Hudson, a brother, Gerald Mauldin, and sister-in-law, Carol Mauldin.
She is survived by two sons, Johnny Hudson and wife, Kaye, and Lane Hudson and wife, Jean, both of Albemarle; a daughter, Teresa Kay (Hudson) Lee and husband Toby of Norwood; two sisters, Kate Little of Albemarle and Connie Poplin of Plantation, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Mauldin and Walter "Pete" Mauldin and wife, Betty, both of Albemarle; a sister-in-law, Marlene Mauldin of Albemarle; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hudson was employed by Albemarle Spinning Mills.
Her funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, The Rev. Mark Little officiating.
Interment will be at Silver Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Norwood.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. At other times the family will meet at the home, 35295 Josh Road, Albemarle.
The family would like to extend their special gratitude to Hospice of Stanly County, Forrest Oakes Healthcare and caregiver Judy Furr.
