HANK LASS

Christian Henry "Hank" Lass was born Jan. 5, 1926, in Los Angeles, and went to be with the Lord May 23, 2009.

He will be fondly remembered as an adventurous storyteller, and a lover of laughter and life.

Hank was a strength coach for Olympic kayak athletes and an Outrigger Canoe Club captain. At the age of 65, he paddled the Molokai-to-Oahu outrigger canoe race. He designed and managed fitness clubs for over 50 years, and was a certified personal trainer. His goal was to honor God by helping others add productive and qualitative years to their lives.

Hank was predeceased by his mother, Marion Elizabeth Judson; father, Christian Rafael Lass; and sister, Jeanette Elizabeth Lass.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; children, Valerie, Christina and Canon; brother, Robert (wife, Teddy); five grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at 11:20 a.m. Monday, June 1, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., in Boulder City.
