Pat Duncan was born on Friday, October 6, 1893, in Coalton, Ohio. Duncan was a major league baseball player, active 1915-1924. He was 21 years old when he broke into the big leagues on July 16, 1915, with the Pittsburgh Pirates and played in just 3 games, with 5 at bats and one hit. Pat went back to the minors and did not appear in the majors again until late into the 1919 season, but was part of the Cincinnati Reds team that defeated the infamous Chicago "Black Sox" in the 1919 World Series. During that series, Duncan, playing left field, appeared in all 8 games, batting .269 with 2 doubles, 8 RBI and 3 runs scored. Duncan played extensively for Cincinnati for the next 5 seasons, appearing in his last major league game in September of 1924, before playing the next 5 seasons in the minor leagues. In 727 major league games, Pat hit .307 with 827 hits, 374 RBI and 361 runs scored.
