Campobello - ROLAND JULIAN "BUDDY" McABEE, Sr. 53, of 560 Bradley Dill Road, died Oct. 26, 1988, from injuries received in an automobile accident. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the husband of EDITH BRADLEY McABEE, and son of LOIS BROWN McABEE. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, Bailey Masonic Lodge 146 and Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was manager of Greer Dragway and commissioner of the Holly Springs Fire Department. He was a former deputy sheriff for Spartanburg County, retired from the Marine Corps and veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Also surviving are a son, ROLAND JULIAN McABEE, Jr. of the home; two daughters, MELODY McABEE of Lyman and ROBIN McABEE of England; a brother, THOMAS JEFFERSON McABEE of Rock Hill; three sisters, LOUISE CANTRELL of Ocean Springs, Miss., HELEN PROCTOR of Union and LULA BRASHEARS of Campobello. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Wood Mortuary in Greer. Services will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Holly Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. J. C. DUNCAN. Burial with military rites will be in the church cemetery. The body will be in the church at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
