Miguel Angel Seise

February 17, 1937 - May 20, 2009

Augusta, GA. – Miguel Angel "Cisco" Seise, SFC, USA (ret.) joined his late wife, Hazel, in heaven on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at age 71 after his battle with COPD.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009 at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Committal services, with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

While serving his country in active duty as an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam, Miguel Seise received many metals for his bravery in combat. These awards include four purple hearts, a bronze star, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Upon discharge from the Army, he continued to serve his country through his work at the Veteran's Administration until his retirement in 2003. He was born in San Turce, Puerto Rico, son of Agapita Gonzales and Prisco Seise, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, a son, Daniel H. Seise, SFC, USA (ret.) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and his wife, Connie; a daughter, Michelle Seise Rabinovitch of Middletown, Delaware and her husband, Paul, and their children, Alexis and Gabriel; a son, MAJ. Michael A. Seise of Tampa, Florida and his wife, Dara, and their children, Adriana and Giuliana; his first wife, Erika Seise Corley of Harlem; his step-daughters, Theresa Vignola of Augusta, and Candy Bish of North Augusta and her husband, Sean, and their children, Christopher and Brenden; his step-granddaughter Brandy Cully and her husband, Chris, and their daughter Hayden; his sisters, Margie Seise of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico; Millie Seise of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Ida Seise of Ponce, Puerto Rico.
