Spartanburg Hearld Journal, Wed. July 30, 2003, page C4. Campobello - Mildred Brashears Collins, 84, of 225 Oak Road, died July 29, 2003 at her home. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late William Dockins and Lucy Gosnell Brashears. She was a member of the Motlow Creek Baptist Church and retired from District 1 Schools as a Dietitian. She was a member of Joshua Hawkins Chapter of the DAR. Survivors include her husband, Allen H. Collins; a son Gary and wife Judy Collins of Boiling Springs; a daughter, Brenda C. and husband Robert Storey of Landrum; a brother, Ben H. Brashears of Campobello; grandchildren, Chris S. Harrison of Columbia, Sheri and husband Tony Williamson of Macon, GA; and a great-grandchild, Parker Williamson. The family will recieve friends Wed. from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Motlow Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Henry Farmer. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
