Chris McNeal Wade, 58, a forester and real estate appraiser, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at his home.
Visitation is 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. today at Wilcox Funeral Home. Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Rocky Point Baptist Church with Rev. Marshall Lum and Rev. Jim Burns officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wade was a native of Kemper County and a long-time member and deacon of Rocky Point Church. He was also a member of the MS Forestry Association, the MS Cattlemen's Association, and the Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include: his wife, Lynn Wade of Carthage; sons, Jason C. Wade (Christy) of Carthage and Ryan D. Wade (Somer) of Brandon; step-mother, Nelda T. Wade of DeKalb; brother, Robert C. Wade (Wendy) of DeKalb; three grandchildren, Grace Ann Wade and McKinley Wade, both of Carthage and Jonah David Wade of Brandon.
Pallbearers are: Jeff Tolleson, Mark Sullivan, Billy Mack Stuart, Paul Wooten, Phil Seymer, Mark Jenkins, Eddie Wooten, and David Howell.
Honorary pallbearers are: Spence Stork, Gerald Goodin, Lannie Wright, William Wooten, Royce Jenkins, Jerry McBeath, Faxton Edwards, and Roy Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Rocky Point Church Building Fund, 713 Keeli Road, Carthage, MS 39051.
