Vergie Ellen Frazier Simpson, 96, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Cabot, Arkansas. She was born July 17, 1921 in Noble, Missouri to the late Hardy J. and Martha A. Dunnigan Frazier. Vergie worked as an analyst for the United States military and was a member of Cabot Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Simpson and her sister, Alma Bolton.

Survivors include her son, Johnnie (Peggy) Simpson of Cabot; daughter, Brenda Stewart of Ketchikan, Alaska; brother, Jeff; sister, Mescel; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Cabot Church of Christ, 500 North Second Street, Cabot, with Pastors Chuck Ball and Jake Engle officiating. Interment will follow at Old Austin Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jeff Shaver, Geoff Meyer, Kevin Pfalser, Paul Killingsworth, James Walker, and Barry Long.
